Today and tomorrow (31th may and 1th june) we are all invited to take part to the Changemakers’ Weekend at Avanzi – Make a Cube headquarter, via Ampere 61/A (Lambrate area): two days of events dedicated to people and projects aimed to change for the better our world and to build a more sustainable future.
Today is planned the very final pitching session of all the startups from the accelerator project called Changemakers for Expo 2015, then a speech by Carlo Ratti and a closing party from 19.00. Tomorrow be prepared for a collaborative day, dedicated to everything that means collaboration and sharism. Also MyHoming will be there to tell its collaborative stories so far…

Next sunday (19th may 2013) is the last chance before the summer to visit Mercato Bello at Ostello Bello in via Medici in Milan! It will be a grand final, with an interesting selection of handmade design products. You will also find good food, nice people and design inspirations in one of the best and most international location in Milan!

On sunday, the 19th of may, you can join the Garage Market & the party called “Festa delle Fave”, from 12.00 to 20.00, at the Ortica dance hall (la Balera dell’Ortica) in Milan! It will be a nice vintage and second-hand market, with music and dance sessions (swing and charleston). The MyHoming friends, Giulia and Veronica, will be present at the market with a creative tea-time workshop: with them you’ll be able to create your own handmade flowers, with tools, fabrics and materials supplied by the girls! The 10th, 11th and 12th of may, the 4th edition of NavigaMi will take place along the Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande and the Naviglio Pavese mark one of the best Milan’s areas: “la zona dei Navigli”. NavigaMi will gather the Italian shipbuilding’s most beautiful yachts that measure up to 12 meters in length, transforming the Naviglio into a city harbour. A floating promenade where you can experience the sailing life: it will be indeed possible to get on board and navigate the Naviglio’s waters!

The 10th, 11th and 12th of may, the Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli (via Palestro in Milan) will host Orticola 2013. This is one of the most famous and traditional flower market in Milan.
The 2013 edition will confirm a special attention to the exhibitors’ skills and the quality and variety of plants exposed. This year Orticola will pay particular attention to gardens and to the many ways in which plants can draw, decorate, animate open spaces!

After the great success of the first edition, Piano City is coming back on the 10th, 11th and 12th of May 2013. It will be a long weekend in which the piano will spread its sounds through Milan most emblematic places and in private houses. Dozens of concerts and events will be hosted and performed by professional musicians, students and amateurs. Music will represent the opportunity to meet people, to get to know hidden places, to discover and experience Milan in a different way.
Piano City is part of the Expo Days 2013, a whole month dedicated to test the atmosphere that we will breathe in Milan during the next Expo 2015.
Throughout the weekend, a lot of professionals, students, amateurs and some of the most famous Italian and international pianists (such as Ludovico Einaudi, Carlo Goldmund, David Cabassi, Michele Campanella, Andrea Rebaudengo, Michele Di Toro, Cesare Picco, Nando de Luca, Laura Fedele, Hauschka, Gaetano Liguori, Enrico Intra, Umberto Petrin, Paul Whittaker, Sara Costa, Sananda Maitreya, Pape Gurioli, Julian Layn, Monica Lion, Oleg Marshev, Anna Stereopoulou and many others) will play in places traditionally related to music as well as in uncoventional ones, giving life to a fully and interesting program of music performances.
The Milan Design Week is over! Last night was the Esterni closing party at Piscina Argelati. The MyHoming corner was a great success and we thank you all for it!
