From the 5th of February 2014 and every wednesday from 15.00 to 22.00, in Milan it will be opened RIgeneriAMO, a local workshop where it will be possible to give a second life to our old and unused objects. In the area of Ventura/Lambrate (via Folli 32, 20134 Milan), managed by the cultural association STREETSTUDIOevents, RIgeneriAMO aims to be an accessible space where repair and recover free of charge products and materials of daily use, with the support of young designers.
Why you should throw an object when you could reinvent it? The possibilities are endless: fixing an old chair, repaint an unused bedside-table or create a lamp from an empty jar… In the RIgeneriAMO workshop it will be possible to put ideas into practice, starting from scraps and old objects, freely using the space, tools and having access to professional assistance and suggestions of eco-designers. It’s important to be booked just to be sure that tools will be all available and designers can help you, sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Every month free labs for different age groups will be planned. Creative reuse labs for kids and meetings for adults will help in learning funny strategies on how to extend objects cycle life.
RIgeneriAMO is a project made possible thanks to Fondazione Cariplo, Istituto Oikos (ONG active for the environmental protection and for the sustainable development), STREETSTUDIOevents and Ingegneria Senza Frontiere.
