MUBA was founded in 1995 with the aim of creating the Children’s Museum of Milan. Since 1997 , despite not having a permanent home , MUBA has produced 13 interactive exhibitions and a lot of laboratories developed according to specific educational criteria intended to promote and encourage children’s creative thinking and responsible attitudes. MUBA has promoted educational projects in over 50 cities in Italy and in Europe involving nearly 800,000 children. Since 2007 MUBA Foundation is a non-profit organization, recognized at regional level.

From 2013 MUBA has finally a permanent home at the Rotonda di Via Besana, one of the most representative architectural buildings of the eighteenth century in Milan!!
The MUBA will open the 24th of January and it will be a permanent center for cultural and artistic projects dedicated to childhood; a place open to innovation that brings together national and international excellence in culture, education, science and arts; a place to promote the development of creativity and design thinking.
