The Lloyd Hotel in Amsterdam is a former prison which the Dutch architecture studio MVRDV and numerous designers and artists converted into a design-oriented concept hotel.
As well as several other aspects of the hotel (like there are rooms from 1 to 5 stars), I really like the idea of the Lloyd Table: it is a simple table designed by Christoph Seyferth specifically for Lloyd Hotel. It is entirely made of steel and therefore not just very strong but also flexible. Since the steel is pliable, the feet and the tabletop always adjust themselves to the shape of the floor it is on, and therefore the table will not wobble.
The collection consists of counter height pub table, work desk or and a dinner table and is available in five colours (black, white, grey, rust and skyblue).
Initially available only for guests, now it is also available for non-hotelguests!
